Puppies will make them sleep...

 Saturday, May 13, 2006... The puppies came home! Top left is Sunny (Sundance) riding home in Gracie, next down is Cassi (Cassidy - as in Butch Cassidy) riding home.

Sunny was born on March 21, 2006 and is a Lemon and White colored Beagle. Cassi was born March 27, 2006 and is a Tri-Color Beagle. Both are female. 

Sunny was the first born of her litter of four. Cassi was one of two female puppies out of seven. They share a father, a lemon and white, but have different mothers—each have their mother's coloring.

Our first stop was at grandpa's to let them play in the backyard and meet the puppy next door. Bebe is the puppy who hooked us on beagles.

We'll have to get photos of them all together really soon (Bebe is 3 weeks older than our babies).

As you can see in the photos directly left, they love to play together. What the photots don't show is the funny lil squeaky growls that accompany their play sessions...

You can see they have no malnutritional problems... each has a big puppy opu (belly). Cassi is still so small (bigger litter, smaller puppies - at least in their cases!), that she practically looks pregnant right after she eats.

As soon as we got them home, we took them to their new outside room. It's a 10' by 10' enclosure set on pavers that sits half in sunshine and half under a big, ol' apple tree.

Bubba (our 15lb longhair cat, and bigger than both puppies right now) lost no time meeting and greeting. You can't see it in this photo, but Sunny is actually kissing Bubba...  We think they'll all get along just fine...
